Visitation shows that this was the Katherine married Sir Thomas Gresley but the dates make it more likely to have been the Katherine of the next generation, particularly since BP1934 Gresley identifies the father of that Katherine as Sir Thomas.

William and Joyce are identified by a number of historical as well as genealogical web sites as parents of Sir Francis who is reported as having been born at Scadbury Park and to have been a cousin some say uncle, which must be wrong of the Sir Thomas of Scadbury 1561-1630 who was patron of the playwright Christopher Marlowe.
