BLG1886 Pateshall of Allensmore reports that "The family of Peshall is of antiquity in co. Northampton" and mentions Pateshalls acting as Sheriff of that county including Simon de Pateshall a 1194 and some of his descendants. It is not known if this family is connected to the family of Pateshulle on PZmisc01 or that of Peshall on Peshall1.
