It is really something to sing and dance about.
Dig up those old bones and get them dancing!

Change the two party system
so people against something like abortion
but for something like environmental protection never again get bigger and badder storms

Uvedale: Uvedale of Hameldon, Uvedale of More Crichill, Uvedale / Vuedall of Wickham
The Harleian editor entitles the entry for this family in Visitation Hampshire as "Uvedale" but spells the family name as 'Vuedall' throughout. We keep to the 'modern' spelling of Uvedale.
John Uvedale
m Sybil de Scures dau of Sir John de Scures of Wickham d 1353, sister/heir of John d 1387
1. William Uvedale of Wickham, Hampshire
2. John Uvedale of Wickham d before 1461
A. Sir Thomas Uvedale of Wickham d 1474/84
VCH Hampshire, vol 4, Parishes: Bossington mentions that Sir Thomas left one of his manors, Pittleworth, to his 4th wife Elizabeth, whose son Robert Uvedale left it to his step-brother sb half-brother? Sir William Uvedale, son/heir of Sir Thomas by his 2nd wife Elizabeth. This appears to be the Thomas who is the first mentioned by Visitation Hampshire which identifies only 1 wife for him, Margaret Kingeston, showing her as mother of Sir William of Wickham & Thomas of Hameldon.
m1/3. Margaret Kingeston dau of Sir Thomas Kingeston by Allice, dau of Sir Hugh Poynings
m2 Elizabeth
Note the uncertainty reported above as to who was the mother of Sir Thomas's elder sons. It appears that one of the wives was a daughter, Jane or Elizabeth or Ellyn, of Sir Henry Norbury of Stoke Dabernon.
i. Sir William Uvedale of Wickham d 1524
m Agnes Sidney dau/coheir of William Sidney of Sussex
a. Sir William Uvedale of Wickham d 1528
m Dorothy Tracye d 1530, dau/coheir of Thomas Tracye
1 Arthur Uvedale of Wickham
m Anne Haselwood dau of Edmond Haselwood of Northamptonshire
VCH Wickham indicates that Arthur had a son William who died in 1569 whose son Sir William then aged 9 was the husband of Mary Norton. Provisionally, we follow Visitation which does not show that William as an intervening generation between Arthur and Sir William.
A Sir William Uvedale of Wickham d 1616
