We have no reason to doubt this but note that, for this to be true and noting the dates involved, the following Ralph brother of Walter, "the first Norman abbot of Evesham" must have been son or brother of Bertram de Verdun of Farnham Royal, apparently the first to be named de Verdun or Verdon. | |||||||||||||||
