2 It is not clear whether the names Raoul, Ralph, Roscelin and Rudolf of the early viscounts were interchangeable or not. There is some confusion on this so the numberings of these viscounts are not consistent in different sources. For simplification's sake we name all of the relevant viscounts 'Raoul' but also show other names found and adopt our own numbering system which follows that of GenEU for the early generations but not thereafter.
