George Buchannan b 1588 Gartincaber Perth d 1629 Tyrone Ulster sold his lands in Blairlusk near Loch Lomond to his brother William in 1674 and moved to Tyrone County, Ireland. These were troubled times in Scotland (actually, the history of Scotland is replete with troubled times), mainly to do with the free practice of religion. It appears that our ancestors were Presbyterian and "Covenanters" that fled Scotland at this time.
