It is really something to sing and dance about.
Dig up those old bones and get them dancing!

Change the two party system
so people against something like abortion
but for something like environmental protection never again get bigger and badder storms
and two bankrupting wars instead.

Aquitaine 1: Dukes of Aquitaine, Counts of Poitou
Bernard Plantvelue 'Hairyfoot', Count of Autun, Rodez, and Auvergne
1. William/Guillaume I 'le Pieux', Duke of Aquitaine d 918
m. Engelberge of Provence (dau of Boso (Boson) V, King of Provence, King of Aquitaine, etc)
2. Adelinde
m. Acfredo I, Count of Carcassone and Rasez (d 906)
Their sons William/Guillaume and Acfrid were successive Dukes of Aquitaine.
This House of Poitou, is believed to have been connected by blood to the Counts of Auvergne and possibly also to the Counts of Rasez (independently of the marriage shown above) and hence to the above-mentioned Dukes of Aquitaine (and the Counts of Barcelona). Some sources believe that the Williams in this family should be numbered independently of the earlier families, others do not. This is why there is often confusion in the numbering of the many Williams, Dukes of Aquitaine. The position is not helped by the facts that some of the Dukes had other names but were still known as William whilst some sources mix up the many Williams in this family, thereby making the numbering even more inconsistent. The position shown here follows GenEU which is consistent with (for example) the book on Eleanor of Aquitaine which is identified under 'Main Sources' below.
