(Among the ancestors of George Washington are a George Reade and Elizabeth Martiau who also had a son Thomas born about 1649 in Virginia and supposedly died in 1716 although another Thomas was supposedly born to this cuople in 1667. As this seems unlikely and the birth date was obviously guessed at, and the dates here seem to be more guuesswork as well we may be referring to the same person, if the birth date for Sarah and marriage to Lucy Gwyn are really later and/or the marriage of George Reade and Elizabeth Martiau were earlier. Since a cursive "n" often looks like "u" it would seem the "Martian" is the correct name for Washington's ancestor.)
