A match of 15 segments on chromosome 7 with Joseph Brock, which is matched along 12 by Gary Eugene Graybeal and 11 by John T Armstrong.
Joseph seems to have several German ancestors including Seiber while I have very very few in the last 25 generations.
Gary Eugene Graybeal shows only names originating in the area between Switzerland and the Palatinate, where my only Swiss/German ancestors come from. The only ancestors I have from this area in the last 10 generations are along the line of my maternal grandfather Bland/Harris/Jamison/Frye. This family moved down the Rhine from Switzerland to Alsace and moved to Pennsylvania after Louis XIV revoked the Edict of Nante. So it seems rather certain that any common ancestors are to be found along this line.
Alternatively my paternal line has Gilbert, Hugenots who left France for Sinsheim in the Platinate after the close of the 30 Years War and are mostly still located in this area today, while my line moved to Pennsylvania in the next generation.
John T Armstrong shows a few German ancestors too, in particular, a George Frye, who may fit into my Frye pedigree and an Anna Pope who may be a heretofore unnamed daughter of my Nathaniel Pope III and Jane Browne. I see many names in his list like Bryant. The Jean/Jane Pope b 1699/1715 d Apr 1732 in Overwarton Parish Va who married George Williams may be the source of some matching segments. But I believe it is this German line of mine that connects the four of us on chromosome 7 and any Pope/Browne DNA would be some other range of match with Armstrong.
The only name in common with Emmit Calvin Alexander is Howard, which is nearly my most maternal line over Dorsey and also rather distant. This is a completely different string of segments and not likely to implay relationship to the other three, unless one of you has a longer string in common covering both ranges. As Joseph has no match with Mr. Alexander, I presume that - if the connection is not over Gilbert - there was a regrouping of this Nicholas/Pope/Brown/Lawrence/Dorsey/Howard DNA in my mother with that of Bland/Harris/Jamison/Frye

Ingalls has Workman and Wickoff ancestors, as does Reynolds. Waren has a Reynolds ancestor. Blackley is all Scottish with MacDonald and Mitchell ancestors, all born in Scotland.
