    Anthony Armistead (Ar12) of Kirk Deighton, Yorkshire, England b 1583 d 15 Nov 1642, was the son of Roger Armistead Ar13  of Kirk Deighton, Yorkshire, England, and Epham Hill.
    He married Frances Thompson Tm12 in 1608.
    They had a son William Armistead Ar11 of Yorkshire
    William was Baptised 1610, August 3 at All Saints. He emigrated to Virginia in 1635. He had land grants in Elizabeth City County, Virginia and later in Gloucester County, Virginia., which was formed from York County in 1642. He died before 1660.

    was Speaker of the House of Burgesses at Virginia. He was a member of
    the Governor's Council at Virginia. He married Elizabeth Landon,
    daughter of Thomas Landon and Mary, in 1701; 2nd wife, 2nd husband. He
    died in 1732.

    6.  Col. Henry Armistead (John3, William2, Anthony1); m. Martha Burwell,
    daughter of Hon. Lewis Burwell and Abigail Smith, circa 1701; d. after
    13 Jun 1746.
         He resided at Gloucester Co., VA. He resided at 'Hesse',
    Middlesex Co., VA. He was a member of the House of Burgesses between
    1728 and 1734 at Virginia.

         Martha Burwell was baptized on 16 Nov 1685. She died after Dec
    1710.

    Middlesex Co., VA. He was Secretary of the Colony at Virginia. He left
    a will on 2 Feb 1700.

         Col. William Churchill resided at Middlesex Co., VA.

    Lee, daughter of Hancock Lee and Mary Kendall; d. 13 Jun 1711.
         He resided at Eastmost River, Mathews Co., VA. He resided at
